pl. Sedarim [sə där′im] or Seders [Heb seder, lit., order, arrangement < root sdr, to arrange, order]
[also s-] Judaism the feast commemorating the exodus of the Jews from Egypt, observed in the home by the reading of the Haggada on the eve of the first day of Passover (and by Orthodox Jews outside Israel also the eve of the second day)
